How Daily Body protects your photos
Daily Body is built so that your photos never need to leave your iPhone, and so that they are protected while they are on it.
On your iPhone
- Encrypted storage. Photos, outlines and measurements are stored in Daily Body's own app storage, encrypted with keys kept in the iOS Keychain. iOS Data Protection also encrypts them while your phone is locked.
- App lock. Turn on Face ID or passcode lock in onboarding or Settings ▸ Privacy & app lock. The app can lock again after you have been away for a time you choose.
- Hidden in the app switcher. Daily Body shows a plain cover instead of your photos in the app switcher and during screen recordings.
- Nude photos refused. Each photo is checked on the device and nude photos are not saved. The check never sends the photo anywhere.
Nothing to breach on our side
- No account, no email, no password.
- We never receive your photos, outlines, measurements or summaries.
- The weekly summary is worked out on your phone; there is no AI service behind it.
When you choose to move data
- Export archive: a single encrypted file, protected by a passphrase you choose. We cannot recover a forgotten passphrase.
- Export photos: plain pictures, for use elsewhere. They are no longer protected by Daily Body once exported.
- iCloud backup (coming soon): end-to-end encrypted with a key kept in your iCloud Keychain. Neither Apple nor we can read it.
Optional reports
If you turn on Share anonymous usage and crash reports (off by default, in a coming version), Daily Body sends feature counts and crash reports to TelemetryDeck and Google Firebase. They never include photos, measurements or any text. See the privacy policy.
